Winnetka is located just 16 miles north of Chicago’s “loop” and borders a portion of the the Cook County Forest Preserve. Featuring numerous parks and open spaces that include baseball, soccer and football fields, the A. C. Nielsen Tennis center with eight indoor and twelve outdoor courts, The Winnetka Golf Club with clubhouse, a proshop, recently renovated 18 hole golf course, a 9-hole, par 3 golf course and a 28-stall driving range and three short game practice greens available to golfers of all playing levels.
The breathtaking lakeshore boasts three beaches, Tower Road, Elder Lane and Maple that are all swimming beaches with restrooms and parking available. Boating and Sailing can be found at the Lloyd Park Beach. Centennial Park and Beach welcomes dogs to swim and have fun.
Nationally recognized New Trier High School serving 7 North Shore suburbs is a four year public high school with its main campus located in Winnetka.
